Boulder Junction, WI


Often referred to as the Musky Capital of the World, Boulder Junction’s 194 crystal clear lakes also offer more fishing, boating, paddling and gorgeous scenic beauty. Visitors can also explore some of the lakes by bike, on several trails including the paved Crystal Lake Trail. This trail also heads to numerous campgrounds, and connects to the Heart of Vilas County Trail system. And don’t forget to visit downtown Boulder Junction for some delicious dining and shopping.

Strap on your helmets and get ready to experience Wisconsin’s natural beauty by bicycle! We’re heading to the Bicycling Capital of America to ride the country’s first rails to trails conversion in Sparta, to Stevens Point to explore one of the first trails to encircle an entire community, and up to the Northwoods to follow the Heart of Vilas County Trail through St. Germain and Boulder Junction.
