2008 DW Destination
Expansive woodlands, 850 miles of bubbling trout streams, an abundance of lakes, and uniquely quaint towns make up beautiful Forest County. Named for its plentiful forests, Forest County plants itself in Wisconsin’s scenic North Woods, creating an ideal getaway for the whole family. One of the county’s many draws is its well maintained Nicolet North State Trail, an ultimate spot for ATVers. The county is also home to The Northern Lights Casino and Mole Lake Casino. The Forest County Potatwatomi Cultural Center, Library and Museum offers an escape from the outdoors to give you a peak into the tribes’ past and present. If you’re just looking to take a stroll, Forest County’s charming towns set the scene for a calming small town feel uninterrupted by street lights or traffic jams.
