During warmer months, the lakes are the center of activity, ideal for canoeing, water skiing, tubing or just going for a quiet sunset cruise across the water. In this special episode we're exploring the thrill and excitement of snowmobiling, and the scenic beauty and adventure that comes along with it. We're focusing on four locations that are known for great snowmobiling. First, we'll visit Namakogen Lake and the Cable area, which are home to Lakewoods Resort, a spectacular place to make your base camp for a winter journey. Next, we'll head to Iron County, which boasts an average annual snowfall of 180 inches, and then we'll head to the "Eagle River 500" which winds through the beautiful Eagle River area. Finally, visit Oconto County; they have nine snowmobile clubs that maintain over 425 miles of trails for residents and visitors alike. This family fun activity can take you all over this great state, and with the interconnected Northern Wisconsin Snowmobile Corridor you don't even have to leave your sled.
