Juneau County
2008 DW Destination
Juneau County, conveniently located along Interstate 90/94 in central Wisconsin, is a county filled with opportunity. With four seasons of recreational adventure and a solid and growing business base, Juneau County offers possibilities to those who are pursuing a better quality of life and/or business development. In Juneau County there’s the public birding tower next to the Petenwell Dam where osprey and eagles can be found. Birding is also popular in Buckhorn State Park. Or there’s the Necedah Wildlife Refuge, home to the rare whooping cranes that are being taught to migrate south and back again.
