Wilkommen! Wisctoberfest started 4 years ago at thee FireHouse. Sir William decided to ask the new lad on the block Sir Benny if he would join in on thee festivities thee following year. Thee two formed something special and they want this tradition to carry on in the Chippewa Valley.
This year Wisctoberfest will be on September 19th from 11am- 2am. This day happens to be International Fall Festival, put on by Downtown Eau Claire Inc. (DECI). Yes they will have a booth at their event, where you will want to stop by for their first ever “Poker Run.” What is a Poker Run? Well, we will have you stop at all the locations on the map. You will receive a punch of some sort, fill the run cards out completely and be entered into a drawing for $500.00 cash and many other prizes from your local business. Next they will be a part of the parade taking place at 3:00pm on South Barstow. They want you and your children to be a part of the parade playing a kazoo and wearing a little alpine hat.
For the adults, there is a pub crawl taking place. Stop at your favorite bar/pub/tavern on the north/south Barstow side pick up a Wisctoberfest mug and get great deals at each location. Many different games to be played ( Beer Stein Race, Beer Barrel Roll Race, Giant Chess, Beer Checkers, Yodeling Contest) The fun never stops!
Thee Chippewa Valley is busier than normal this day and they want to accommodate to everyone’s needs. When the Chippewa Falls Octoberfest ends at 11pm they will have the Blue Bus ready and waiting to shuttle you to and from. Altoona kickball classic is happing so they will have shuttles from there as well.
