View Bald Eagles in their natural environment during Bald Eagle Watching Days, a two-day, two-community, free, family friendly festival celebrating our majestic bald eagles. Bald eagles flock to the Sauk Prairie area every winter to feast on the plentiful fish in the open water of the Wisconsin River and to shelter in the protected natural environment of the bluffs and roosts along the river. Hundreds of eagles flock to our area during the coldest time of year, making the chance of viewing a wild eagle highly likely. Ferry Bluff Eagle Council hosts a 2 day festival at various locations throughout Sauk Prairie with Schlitz Audubon’s live birds of prey shows, eagle viewing bus tours, spotting scopes overlooking the river, Kiwanis Club pancake breakfast, Laughing with the Animals with David Stokes, Eagles in Native American Culture by Art Shegonee, eagle white wine tasting at Wollersheim Winery and many more activities.
