Cakes at the Lake, held at Hunt Hill Audubon Sanctuary in Sarona, is an all-you-care-to-eat pancake breakfast which features buttermilk and specialty pancakes, sausage, fresh fruit, and beverages. Following the breakfast, guest are encouraged to stay for the free family friendly environmental program sponsored by the Long Lake Preservation Association (www.longlakellpa.org). Today’s program: Cranes are an intriguing group of birds, and science can trace their family to prehistoric times. Come learn about these ancient, amazing creatures and enjoy a delicious breakfast of pancakes and sausage at Hunt Hill Audubon Sanctuary in Sarona. A special focus will be on cranes native to Wisconsin: the Sandhill Crane, and the endangered Whooping Crane. Pancake breakfast 8:00am – 9:45am; Program: 10:00am – 11:00am
