Ashland, the heart of Chequamegon Bay, invites you to dine, visit, relax and listen to the upbeat sounds of two popular local musicians when you take part in the Annual WhistleStop Lake Superior Fish Boil and Pasta Feed inside the Bay Area Civic Center on Friday, Oct. 14, from 4:30-8 p.m.
The 19th Annual CenturyLink WhistleStop Marathon/Half-Marathon and 5K/10K Cruisin’ the Corridor races will be held Saturday, Oct. 15, on the Tri-County Recreational Corridor, extending from Iron River to Ashland. Runners will savor the vibrant fall foliage as they race along an abandoned rail bed with crushed limestone gravel. There is a Post-Race Party in the afternoon with plenty of great music and concessions.
Topping off the weekend will be the WhistleStop Blues & Brews Festival on Saturday night in a heated, 1,000-person festival tent where you can sample over 60 varieties of micro-brews from all over the Midwest, including expertly crafted beers from Ashland’s own award-winning South Shore Brewery.
