The CWSO’s very own Lawrence Leviton returns to narrate a dynamic concert of Music in Film, featuring some of Hollywood’s brightest and best composers, from Horner to Korngold, Portman to Williams, and more! You’ll enjoy this weekend at the movies, and will be inspired to listen closely to the orchestra at the Academy Awards on Sunday evening after the concerts! If you remember Charlie Barnett from the popular Chaise Lounge concerts, who is also a respected film composer, you’ll love his new concerto composed just for Lawrence – Noir: Concerto for Cello and Orchestra will have its own red carpet premiere at this already star-studded weekend! An abbreviated version of the performance will be presented to approximately 1300 area fourth grade students at the biennial Dorothy Vetter Educational Concerts.
