Rising Nashville star and nationally touring artist Jared Ashley will headline the inaugural County Edge, playing from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on the Chilimania Main Stage. Kicking things off at 6 p.m. will be local favorites the Zac Matthews Band, based in Milton and fronted by the 2014 Best New Male Act in Country Music in Nashville’s Country Showdown. Admission is free and open to all ages. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. This is the night before Chilimania and will be the official Chilimania pre-party. All proceeds from Country Edge — as well as the proceeds from the Chilimania chili cook-off and live music festival to be held on Saturday, Sept. 10 — directly benefit the Edgerton community in the form of college scholarships for Edgerton High School seniors and donations to other local nonprofit organizations and projects.
