“Teen Angel” Frankie Avalon will bring his boyish charm and the songs that defined a generation as the headliner for JPAC’s annual gala fundraiser event. The one-time teenage idol is best known for the dizzying effect he had on high school girls in the 1950s and 1960s, and is considered one of the defining sounds of “pre-Beatles” rock ‘n’ roll. Memorialized in his 1978 cameo appearance in the film “Grease,” where he sang “Beauty School Dropout,” Avalon’s career has spanned three generations of music, television and motion pictures. JPAC is excited to host an artist of Frankie Avalon’s caliber, one of those legends that defined an era in both the music and film industry. Backed by a live band, the concert evening will feature his hits songs, as well as other great songs and stories from the era. Tickets to this concert would make a perfect Mother’s Day gift! A limited number of $250 pre-show dinner and VIP seating tickets will be also be available. Please call the box office for details. Tickets go on sale February 1.
