Frenchman’s Frolic Fall Paddle Trip to Macktown

October 17, 2015 @ 11:00 am - 2:30 pm

| $25

We’ll be finishing our paddle trip at Macktown for their Frenchman’s Frolic Rendezvous.

Early fur traders used the Rock River as a “commerce highway” to move their wares. Joseph Thibault, the first white settler in the area, had his cabin near the confluence and Steven Mack had a fur trading post in Macktown (now Rockton), six miles down the the river. Our 6-mile paddle (2-hrs.) will follow this route and you’ll have an opportunity to walk around at Macktown for 1 hour after the finish of the paddle.

We recommend you bring a drink and snack for this trip to enjoy at Macktown.

Rocktown Adventures is supplying rental kayaks and shuttle for only $25 per person. If you have your own boat and transportation, you are welcome to join us. NOTE: There is one portage at the Rockton Dam.  Click here for detailed map.

You must make a reservation and pay in advance – Please fill out form below to reserve your space. It would be helpful to RSVP even if you’re bringing your own boat.
