| Silk Nightgowns & Long Underwear Wed, November 4, 2009 - Sat, November 7, 2009 Time: 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm “Silk Nightgowns and Long Underwear” was written by Neil and Caroline Schaffner. Neil and Caroline formed the Schaffner Players in 1925 and continued performing in opera houses and tents in Iowa, Missouri and Illinois for the next 35 years. This play is one of many plays written by the Schaffeners and is part of a large repertoire of shows performed in rural tent show theatres. The play is a comedy that incorporates physical humor, mistaken identities, etc. Along with the play itself the evening will include pre-show and intermission entertainment including vocalist.
