Know Your Wisconsin: Rustic Roads

The Rustic Road program was started in 1973 as a unique local-state partnership with one of the primary goals being to preserve and promote rustic roads for their pastoral and scenic qualities. Throughout the state of Wisconsin, there are 124 roads designated as Rustic Roads, and they cross through 62 counties and span more than 784 miles.
