Wisconsinites are no strangers to the cold and snow that winter brings, so rather than hunkering down and hibernating, Mariah and Eric explore a number of communities across the state that know a thing or two about embracing the winter months! From the Arctic Warrior obstacle course in St. Germain, snowboarding at Devil’s Head Resort in Merrimac, Bald Eagle Watching Days in Sauk Prairie, and Winterfest in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin has no shortage of winter recreation!

Sauk Prairie
The twin communities of Sauk City and Prairie du Sac, commonly referred to as Sauk Prairie, are widely known as a hot spot for bald eagle watching along the Wisconsin River, the home of award-winning Wollersheim Winery and the Wisconsin State Cow Chip Throw & Festival, not to mention the home of the original butter burger, the first Culver’s restaurant in the nation. Plus, unique downtown shopping and dinning, amazing water recreation, and other fun events keep visitors busy all year long!
