A historical and entertaining piece of Sauk County is Al Ringling’s Circus World! Circus World, located in Baraboo, has a history that dates back to the 1950s and they first opened the museum on July 1st of 1959. Then, it was nestled on just less than an acre of land and eventually grew and became a true treasure to Sauk County and Wisconsin.
In this docu-series, we see an inside look at Circus World along with the last show of their 2022 season that honors a true legend, Dave SaLoutous. Dave has been the ringmaster at Circus World for 33 years and while he is stepping away from the joy and grind of being in front of a live audience, he will still remain the performance director at this beloved Sauk County destination.
Today, Circus World in Sauk County spreads over 64 acres of land, and has 30 permanent structures, several winter quarters buildings, the Ringling Brothers Circus Train shed complex, and over 260 wagons! Al Ringling’s Circus World is a true Wisconsin gem with timeless tradition and art form unlike anything else.
