Just west of Platteville lies the historic Potosi Brewing Company. The brewery uses locally-grown grain and hops in their beer, as well as locally harvested honey in their root beer. “We try to keep everything as local as possible,” said Brewer Chase Kieler. In addition to the brewpub and restaurant, Potosi is also known for being home to the National Brewery Museum, a joint venture with the American Breweriana Association. The Brewery Museum is world-class and showcases collections of bottles, cans, trays, glasses, coasters, advertising materials, and many other collectible items.
