The University of Wisconsin System encompasses 13 universities and 26 campuses across the state. Over 165,000 students are currently enrolled at a college within the UW System and over one million people make up their statewide extension and outreach programs.
Current UW President, and Former Wisconsin Governor, Tommy Thompson, keeps his eye on moving the university system forward. He explains that over 90 percent of UW System graduates have stayed in the Wisconsin workforce, making it an outstanding economic investment for the state. Despite the challenges brought forth by COVID-19, Wisconsin is a state full of people and students who care, which is one of the reasons why the UW System continues to be successful.
