For over 100 years, the University of Wisconsin-Extension has been empowering the people of Wisconsin through community outreach programs and educational courses. Embodying the Wisconsin Idea, UW-Extension has brought the university to rural communities to ensure everyone in the state benefits from the resources the UW System has to offer. UW-Extension features six program areas: agriculture, natural resources, community and economic development, health and well-being, human development and relationships, and positive youth development programs. Through these programs, Extension has not only inspired and empowered people in all 72 Wisconsin counties, it has also connected them to the UW System.
