The Great Lakes comprise 84 percent of North America’s surface freshwater and the research being done at UW-Green Bay is exploring one of the greatest freshwater systems on the planet. The Aquatic Ecology and Fisheries Laboratory at UW-Green Bay study three areas thoroughly: research within the lab, field research, and interacting with collaborators in the Fish and Wildlife Service. This university laboratory gives students unique, hands-on experiences as aquatic ecologists, teaching them that everything happening on land will be reflected in the water. Regardless of your connection with UW-Green Bay, the work being done by the Aquatic Ecology and Fisheries Lab is having an impact on the everyday lives of Wisconsinites.
