Fall is right around the corner and it’s time to start planning out all of your fall adventures! Whether you’re ready to explore the beautiful fall colors on a long drive or you’re planning to attend one of the amazing fall festivals, Wisconsin has plans for you! Here you can learn more about 3 fall activities you need to add to your calendar this year.

Bayfield Apple Festival

Join the fun this year at the 60th annual Bayfield Apple Festival from October 1st – 3rd, 2021! You don’t want to miss out on this celebration of the autumn harvest and Bayfield’s agricultural heritage. The festival will have over 60 food booths for you to sample the best local foods, places to explore fine arts and crafts, and live music by the Blue Canvas Orchestra of Big Top Chautauqua! 
If you’re interested in attending a special event check out the apple peeling contest, the crowning of the Apple Festival Queen, or sit back and watch the Grand Parade. Bayfield Apple Festival is known as one of Wisconsin’s premiere festivals along the shores of Lake Superior and has over 50,000 visitors each year!

On Saturday’s you can visit the Downtown Appleton Farm Market, Oshkosh Farmers Market, Neenah Farmers Market, and the Downtown Kaukauna Farmers Market. These markets have vendors selling fresh fruits, veggies, handcrafted items, baked goods, and live music! On Wednesdays from 3-7pm you can experience the Greenville Farmers Market and on Thursdays from 4-7pm you can visit the Menasha Farm Fresh Market where you’ll find prepared foods to snack on as you stroll throughout the market.

The fall festival is a county-wide celebration that kicks off with a beer, wine, and cheese tasting event. There will be farmers markets, the railroad display, historical museum art displays, live music, a car show and much more! Be sure to check out the guided hikes and tours of the Felsenmeer and Gundy’s Canyon. 
Insider tip: If you want to see the best views and fall colors in Rusk County, take a ride on the chair lift on Christie Mountain!
