No one wants to shop on an empty stomach, so I’d recommend visiting the Waupaca Woods Restaurant to start the day off right.

Located just a mile from Main Street on Fulton, this is a great spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but they do serve breakfast all day for a reason! Just look at all these mouth-watering options.

Right here on Main Street, Little Fat Gretchen’s is another absolute must. More than just a diner… this community staple serves classic breakfast and lunch options… and the most delicious homemade pie.

Once you’re all fueled up, there’s a ton of great shopping downtown… all within walking distance.

Koinonia showcases various faith-inspired merchandise, local artisan vendors, and some tasty baked goods.

Panache is a boutique that offers a great atmosphere for inspiring a new outfit or refreshing something you already own. They have fashionable clothing and accessories, with a great mix of trendy and timeless.

At Huck & Finn, you can expect to find unique, eclectic, hand curated goods that provide expression and personality equally balanced with relaxation and comfort.

Back to the Vinyl is a local, independent record store with 1000s of new and used vinyl just waiting for you to browse. You will also find cassettes, CDs, posters, turntables – anything and everything to feed your retro music needs.

Lux Layers is a full-service 3D print shop. They have so many cool, colorful toys and gifts… and they even do custom work if you’re looking for something truly unique.

While you’re downtown, there are a couple of great places to grab a snack.

Main Street Popcorn is known for their delectable, sweet and salty popcorn flavors, but they also have ice cream, taffy, fudge and more.

The Gouda Life is a gourmet market and artisan cheese shop – with a curated selection of specialty foods, like artisan cheeses, fine wines, craft liquors, and other gourmet treats.

A few minutes from downtown, you’ll want to make sure you check out Turner’s Fresh Market and Greenhouse – they’ve been going for three generations and have some of the freshest produce around… and a huge selection of locally sourced syrup, dressings, jams, and more.

Just down highway 54, Cottage Garden Farm is the perfect place to look for your next great gift. There’s a sea of adorable, eclectic items inside, and an impressive selection of lawn ornaments and garden decor outside. You have to check it out.

One last stop before dinner – 81 Market is your place to find Waupaca themed gifts and souvenirs, olive oils and balsamics, specialty liquors, and more. And you can grab a cocktail while you shop, which is a nice bonus.

Once you’re all shopped out, there are several excellent spots to end your day right in Waupaca.

H.H. HINDER Brewing Company is an outstanding local brewery and taproom. They always have something new on tap, and their pizza and apps are so good.

Clear Water Harbor offers delicious food and ice-cold drinks right off of Taylor Lake, with service from the dock, and live music. Some of the best burgers around and daily specials.

The Wheelhouse offers delicious pizza, sandwiches and more, and Scooper’s next door has some of the best ice cream around.

Indian Crossing Waterfront Restaurant and Bar is another great spot for food, drinks and music right on the water. They have lots of outdoor seating. And this view of Columbia Lake is hard to beat.
