In the northwest corner of Wisconsin is a small town with a big ol’ personality. It’s called River Falls, or as the locals call it: The City on the Kinni. It’s also the subject of next weekend’s episode of Discover Wisconsin. Our crew had soooo much fun in River Falls. In fact, we thought we’d share with you a list of some of the activities we loved most while in town:
- Go fly-fishing on the gorgeous Kinnikinnic River
- Indulge in everyone’s favorite comfort food at Bacon Bash
- Cheer on the cowboys and cowgirls at the Falcon Frontier Days Rodeo
- Look for wildlife while kayaking down the Kinni
- Cheer on the Fighting Fish baseball team at The First National Bank of River Falls Field
- Go for a bike ride along the area’s many trails
- Enjoy the wonderful music throughout town at Roots and Bluegrass Festival
- Grab some grub at Dish and the Spoon Cafe or a cocktail at Bo’s ‘N Mine
- Stop in for a cool treat at the Riverwalk Mercantile
- Browse the works of 70 juried artists at Art on the Kinni
