    Barron County is home to the Blue Hills, a beautiful geologic area with land forms perfect for mountain biking. Zip through seven miles of single-track trails on the Pipestone Quarry, a historic piece of land with gorgeous scenery.

    The terrain in Barron County is also perfect for four wheels, and in Almena you’ll find Barron County’s Intensive Use Area. In other words? A playground for ATVs. Riders from near and far give this ATV park an A+.
  3. Grab a slice of award-winning pie at Norske Nook

    It’s pretty hard to pass up a slice of pie, am I right? Norske Nook is one of Wisconsin’s most iconic stops, and its 45 national award-winning pies are to credit. From year-round favorites to seasonal specialties, each pie is made with a hand-rolled crust and keeps visitors coming back for more.
  4. Indulge in a classic Wisconsin meal at Lehman’s Supper Club
    Comfort food and old-fashioneds have defined Wisconsin for decades, and both can be found at the iconic Lehman’s Supper Club in Rice Lake. The restaurant has been around since 1934 and serves up supper club classics, such as baked potatoes, chicken Kiev, grilled pork chops and walleye.
  5. Learn about Barron County’s rich history at the Pioneer Village Museum
    The Barron County Historical Society presents the Pioneer Village Museum, a preservation of the area’s history. The museum features an authentic 1880s village, complete with a working blacksmith shop, church, one-room schoolhouse, and cabins.
  6. Take a tour at Northstar Bison

    From the animals, to the games, to the tractor pulls, it doesn’t get much more ‘Wisconsin’ than a summertime county fair. Ride the ferris wheel, score a prize from a carnival game or treat yourself to a funnel cake and fresh-squeezed lemonade.
  9. Check out the Cars, Crafts & Rock n’ Roll show in Turtle Lake
    If you’re into cars, or just into history, take in the dozens of rare, classic cars featured at this annual event. Make your way to the craft fair, all while munching on great food and listening to classic 50s music.
  10. Wind down your day with a movie at the Stardust Twin Drive-In Theater

    There are fewer than 10 outdoor movie theaters left in Wisconsin, and Barron County claims one of them. Claim your parking spot, grab some tasty treats, get comfy and enjoy a nostalgic experience under the stars.
