Amelia Cornelius Culture Park
The center of Oneida culture, this open-air heritage center has historic homes that visitors can walk through and learn about Oneida history. Also the site of Big Apple Fest, and throughout the year they’ll feature ancestral plays!
Oneida Museum
Just down the road in De Pere is the Oneida Nation Museum where you can spend some time taking a self-guided or guided tour of the history and accomplishments of the Oneida People.
Buffalo Farm
The Magnificent Oneida Buffalo herd, consists of about 150 head. The herd is located just west of Oneida, at the junction of Hwy 54 west and Cooper RD. There are two pastures located on either side of Cooper Road and the west pasture is for the reproductive herd. Every year newborns come into the herd.
Oneida Apple Orchard
In 1994, the Oneida Tribe purchased a 2,400 tree Apple Orchard as part of their continuing strategy of reacquiring lands within the original boundaries of the reservation. The Apple Orchard has 30 acres of original orchard and an additional 10 acres of new orchard, which now totals approximately 4,000 trees. During the fall head there for some great apple picking!
Oneida Market
For a wonderful shopping experience, head to the Oneida Market on Packerland Drive. The Oneida Market features a variety of handmade tea blends, natural herbal remedies and essential oils. While there you can also purchase Oneida Nation black angus beef and bison, heirloom white corn products, as well as the Oneida Nation Apple Orchard products.
Wetland Preserves and Hiking
The Oneida Nation, partnered with the Natural Resource Conservation Service and is working to restore about 420 acres of upland prairie, and about 50 acres of wetland habitat. The wetlands provide culturally important species like Monarda and Bergamot, as well as game for hunting and fishing!
Pow Wow
One of the best ways to experience Oneida culture is at the annual 4th of July Pow Wow. It’s a chance for the Oneida nation to share their culture, and invite the public to join in the festivities! One of the largest pow wows in the Midwest, the weekend-long celebration is not only a chance to see some spectacular dancing and ornate regalia, it’s a chance to experience some Oneida crafts and food!
Thornberry Creek Golf Course
Located just outside of Titletown in northeast Wisconsin, Thornberry Creek at Oneida is the Official Golf Course of the Green Bay Packers. Offering 27 holes of championship golf, it’s a great way to explore the Oneida Nation!
