Originally, The Del-Bar was founded by two gentlemen, one from Wisconsin Dells and the other from Baraboo–hence its unique name. Purchased in 1943 by Jim and Alice Wimmer, the roadside restaurant may have had just a few tables, but it stood out from any other building, designed by James Dresser, a protégé of Frank Lloyd Wright! 

As the years went by, The Del-Bar passed down through generations of the Wimmer family and transformed into a beloved supper club known for its welcoming atmosphere and delicious food. Today, Amy Wimmer and her sister Anne Stoken carry on this tradition, having returned to their roots to lead the restaurant into its next chapter. Amy and Anne are dedicated to making every guest feel like part of their family, all while honoring the legacy built by their grandparents. 

This family tradition extends beyond just the Wimmer family. Many customers have fond childhood memories of dining at The Del-Bar, now passing this timeless tradition on to their own families. The restaurant remains an icon in the community, where memories are made over shared meals and celebrations.
