Discover Wisconsin: Tomah–Wisconsin’s Western Gateway
As they say around town, “All roads lead to Tomah.” Located at the intersection of I-90 and I-94 between Madison and La Crosse, Tomah serves as a gateway to much of the western portion of Wisconsin. While most people have probably driven through or past Tomah on road trips, in this episode, Mariah and Eric dive in to what awaits just off the interstate.
Tomah lies right on the edge of the Driftless Area, and the region’s unique geography includes everything from rolling hills, winding roads perfect for motorcycling and, of course, cranberry marshes. Mariah visits local cranberry grower, Wetherby Cranberry Company, to learn more about Wisconsin’s state fruit.
Meanwhile, Eric tackles the Tomah Recreation Trail, which takes him past Lake Tomah and the city’s numerous parks, before heading to the Tomah Rotary Beer & Sausage Fest.

Finally, Mariah takes in the excitement of Crazy Daze, Tomah’s annual summer festival and experiences the power and passion behind Tomah’s truck and tractor pull, one of the three biggest pulls in the country, that draws thousands of visitors from all over the world.
