It’s no secret that Wisconsinites love the great outdoors and all of the amazing activities it has to offer and to get some fresh air into our lungs. And while we often talk about the hiking trails, bike paths, and kayaking spots, you’ll be pleased to know that Wisconsin is also a go-to for some of America’s most underrated golf courses!

Right in the heart of Wisconsin there are two Sand Valley courses in Rome, WI—the main park and its Mammoth Dunes counterpart. Even for veterans, its original course is a challenge, while Mammoth Dunes is famed for its more imaginative holes.
If you want to get some practice in early in the morning, you can book a room at the Sand Valley Hotel, known for its spectacular views and top-tier customer service.
A little bit out of the way of Wisconsin’s typical trajectory of golf tourism is the Devil’s Head Resort. It is located in Sauk County and features two championship layouts. Here, you’ll find no shortage of ambitious elevation changes, water holes, and sand traps.
Did we also mention its breathtaking views? This course rests atop Wisconsin’s naturally labyrinthine topography and keeps its landscapes as unadulterated as possible.
