We’re obsessed with Chippewa Falls.
Why? For starters, it’s a classic, Americana small town of just 14,000 with a fascinating history. It boasts a gorgeous, renovated riverfront district, two nearby state parks and an impressive array of eateries, boutiques and coffee shops. And perhaps most notably, the town is home to the 150-year-old Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Co. After just one visit to the brewery and the wildly popular Leinie Lodge, we’re convinced: this is Wisconsin’s most iconic destination for beer lovers.
If you’re embarking on your first trip to the Leinie Lodge, you’ll want to take full advantage of all this destination has to offer. Here’s what we recommend:
Get introduced to nearly 150 years of beer-brewing and six generations of Leinenkugel family history when you take this classic Wisconsin brewery tour!
For just $12, get a tour plus five 5 oz. samples. Want to get a real peek behind the Leinenkugel curtain? We highly recommend upgrading to an exclusive tour with a Leinenkugel family member. For $35, you’ll get a one-of-a-kind tour plus three 12 oz. beer samples, a cheese pairing and a take-home gift. (Note: Tours are limited at this time.)
After your tour, pop in the Leinie Lodge and browse the never-ending selection of mementos and more. From cheesy treats and iconic paddleboards to trendy snapbacks and cozy hoodies, get in on a little early holiday shopping. Or heck, treat yo’self!
And now, the moment we’ve all been waiting for! After the tour, make your way back to the Leinie Lodge to sample award-winning beers at the historic sampling bar or outside on the patio with a beautiful view of Duncan Creek.
Sip on the classics—like Leinenkugel’s Original, Canoe Paddle Kölsch and Northwoods Lager. Or, taste-test the up-and-coming flavors like Pineapple Strawberry Spritzen or Toasted Bock.
The folks at the Leinie Lodge say it’s “more than a place, it’s a mindset.” And that rings true in more ways than one. Swing in during one of the Lodge’s famous events and don’t leave without snapping a group selfie aboard the ginormous “Leinie Lounger.”
Rest assured: You can experience this iconic Wisconsin destination while staying safe. Masks are required inside the Leinie Lodge and on tour (except when drinking beer). The crew has also added additional outdoor seating with a service bar. And you can expect to see staff in masks at all times plus touchless door options, contactless payment options and on-site sanitizing stations.
Okay, raise your hand if you’re in the mood for a road-trip to Chippewa Falls.
