You make the mistake what most people make. You need to know that the Wisconsin nickname Badger is not because there are badgers in the state. The name comes from the nickname given to men who did mining in the state and lived in badger type burrows.
Badgers are NOT really mean. My Dad had a game farm license and we raised one from a baby. They have Very poor eye sight and Grumpy was easy startled until he smelled you. I would NOT approach one in the wild but Grumpy was a lot like a puppy dog. They are not evil, they are defensive and can't see you well.
Over 50 years ago, cousin and I duck hunting (with our shotguns) walking the tracks between field potholes, came face to face with a badger. We all stopped. Badger eyes us, and then charges.

801 11th AVE UNION GROVE FEB 20TH FIRE MY PRECIOUS HANDSOME POOKIE POOHBEAR YOUR SNUGGIE SHNUGGEMS WILL NOT STOP TILL WE FIND YOU JUSTICE!!!! 😭💔😭💔😭💔😭 UNION GROVE #JUSTICEFORJEFFERYPARADISE Hello, thank you so much for taking the time to read and hopefully help our family find closure and justice. I am the wife of Jeffery Paradise, and mother to his two beautiful girls. On February 20th we received a call no one ever wanted to answer. My husband of 16 1/2 years was tragically killed in a fire that happened at a residence, he as a licensed contractor was working on, 4 hours from our home. The cause of the fire along with the cause of death is still under investigation. With little to no answers being given. His identity was given to the public before myself and daughters had been told. Speculation of the cause was given without any actual proof and that speculation was later dismantled and the fire along with my husband's death still remains under investigation. Several other fires happened locally with many similarities. Sadly my husband was the 7th loss of life in fires in 2025. We are looking, no begging for any help we can get as the facts in this case do not match up with the time, strength or call in time of the fire, minimal investigative answers, his injuries along with the location of his body. We are asking for the help of the public, any footage from cameras, conversations over heard or had, pictures taken or any information that could assist us with answers and even more importantly closure. Having few to none of our phone calls and requests for files or reports be denied or unanswered, finding out his identity via police statement on social media rather than by phone call, yet having to give pictures of tattoos days after name release has all been surreal and shameful. We as a family are still waiting for answers, return calls or even a mere update but instead left in the dark. Wondering.... Waiting.. Please please help us. -Mrs. Paradise #justiceforjefferyparadise #JusticeForMyHusband #housefire #help #helpme #fypchallenge #facebookviral #foryoupagereels #fypシ #housefiredeath #firedeath #Fire #share #shameful #death #UnexplainedDeath #Wisconsin #UnionGroveWI #uniongrovewisconsin #structurefire
