CrossFit in the Dairy State | Know Your Wisconsin
After growing up on a family dairy farm in Fond du Lac, Kati Kindschuh discovered that her love for CrossFit actually mimicked a lot of her farming background. She describes, “The hard work that I learned as a farm kid – constantly doing things and trying to be 1% better everyday – the same [principles] apply in CrossFit.” She goes on to explain how the two habits balance each other well, because the high quality dairy products help to fill the gaps in her nutrition. Dairy helps provide essential vitamins, minerals, calcium, potassium, vitamin D, and protein. Activities like CrossFit or dairy farming reinforce traditional Wisconsin values of hard work and seeing the pay-off at harvest time.
