Haumerson's Pond | Know Your Wisconsin
Bark River Nature Park in Fort Atkinson, and the adjacent Haumerson’s Pond is a vibrant wintertime community spot. For the last 40-some years, Haumerson’s Pond was largely overlooked until Steve Mode and friends decided they wanted to turn it back into a popular winter gathering place. Now, four years, hundreds of volunteers and donor dollars later, a brand-new warming shelter welcomes visitors to the pond every winter.
But ice-skating isn’t the only thing on the agenda! People can enjoy three and a half miles of ski trails, walk their dogs, and even take a stroll during the annual Candlelight Ski and Hike event. This historic spot in Fort Atkinson is a must-see to have fun during these Wisconsin winters.
