Hometown Heroes: Val Beau, Respiratory Therapist
Striking a balance between your career and life can be hard but employees at Marshfield Clinic Health System have it figured out. In this series, we will meet MCHS staff who live rich lives in and out of work and learn about the healthy balance that a career with MCHS can provide.
In this segment we meet a Respiratory Therapist for Marshfield Clinic Health System, Val Breu. At Marshfield Clinic Health System, Val works in the pulmonary functions lab and outside of the clinic she is a hard working dairy farmer tending to her family’s herd. Val keeps busy as she milks the dairy cows with her son as her husband collects hay with their tractors in the early morning hours. Then Val is off to the clinic to treat patients. Once Val gets home she prepares dinner for her family and her dog and then it is back out into the barns to work with the herd again. Val is reserved but proud of her work in and outside of the clinic. She enjoys the teamwork and support she experiences in her lab and of course at home where she works alongside her
husband and son.
