Shakespeare's Nature: American Players Theatre
Nestled in the hills of Sauk County is a staple outdoor theatre for Wisconsin, American Players Theatre. Founded in 1977, American Players Theatre has a nationally recognized reputation for presenting the highest quality theater. Along with that, APT has grown massively since its beginning days now seeing over 110,000 people from all over the country at their theatre annually.
We will highlight the people who put on the performances in Sauk County day in and day out. We head behind the curtain and see the costume shop, and hear about the work that the artists put into each and every product. We also learn the importance of the process of creating a performance as well as why Shakespeare’s plays are so important to display at the American Players Theatre.
