St. Germain Radar Run Renamed in Honor of Mark Hiller | Know Your Wisconsin

February 29, 2024

2020 marks the 17th annual St. Germain Radar Run but moving forward this classic event will now be known as Hillers Radar Run. Mark Hiller passed away in 2019 established this event in 2004 and since then it has evolved from a small local event to a must-see winter race in the Midwest. This year will also feature a tribute video recognizing all of Hiller’s hard work and dedication to this event. Both racers and fans can share the tracks, or warm up in the vendor’s heated tents for winter gear, food, and entertainment.

Each year, snowmobile enthusiasts are encouraged to test the limits of their sleds by speeding down either a 1000 foot shaved ice track or a 660 foot groomed snow track. Thousands of spectators line the track to cheer the racers on, and dedicated volunteers ensure that the day runs smoothly. The main purpose of this annual spectacle is to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer. Thousands of dollars have been raised over the years for Wisconsin breast cancer survivors and continued research.
