Fall Foliage Views

To see the most incredible views of fall foliage in Sheboygan County, you’ll have no problem finding something just for you because there are many to choose from, including a hike in the Kettle Moraine State Forest. There are numerous hiking trails scattered throughout the vibrant wilderness. To note, the Ice Age National Scenic Trail showcases the beautiful autumn landscape in the Kettle Moraine State Forest with its steep ridges and hills. Another noteworthy trail is the Moraine Nature Trail which cuts right through the towering trees with vivid reds and golden yellows this time of the year.

Sheboygan is also home to Maywood, an amazing environmental park deeply connected to nature and its beauty. To see the views this fall, there are vast walking trails to follow that will guide you through a tour of the colorful trees. A few Maywood must-walk trails are Maple Forest Trail, where you can see the bold maple trees that are over 100 years old, and Prairie Trails to see the leaves, but also the grasses in their prime reaching 6 feet tall!

Speaking of tall, are you up for a climb to new heights? Take the daring climb at the Sheboygan Broughton Marsh Park and Tower, home of the state’s tallest wooden observation tower! It’s a record-breaking 80 feet tall! When you reach the top, it’ll be worth the climb for the unreal views of a true Wisconsin fall season from above.

If you can’t get enough of the tall, towering views, Sheboygan County has you covered with Parnell Tower, the highest point of elevation in the Kettle Moraine State Forest. It tops off at 60 feet high, and the fantastic views of the bright foliage every which way you look.
