June 14th – Big Top Parade
Just a week later, the streets of downtown Baraboo come alive with the Big Top Parade, honoring the city’s famous circus legacy. The parade kicks off at 11 a.m. and features over 75 circus-themed floats, historic wagons, marching bands, clowns, and exotic animals.
The whole community joins in for this star-spangled celebration, complete with pre-parade entertainment, bounce houses, and big top shows at Circus World. It’s a fun-filled day that captures the magic and history of Baraboo’s circus roots, perfect for visitors of all ages.
June 28th-29th – Spring Green Art Fair
Wrap up June with a visit to the annual Spring Green Art Fair! August 29th-30th – Wisconsin State Cow Chip Throw

Head to Prairie du Sac for the annual Wisconsin State Cow Chip Throw, a quirky and entertaining festival that’s been a Labor Day weekend tradition for over 50 years. The main event? Contestants of all ages compete to see who can toss dried cow chips the farthest—yes, actual dried cow manure!
And the chip toss is just the beginning. The weekend is filled with family-friendly fun, including the Tournament of Chips Parade, live entertainment, an arts and crafts fair, a 5K and 10K run/walk, and even a pedal tractor pull for kids. Plus, endless food and drink options to enjoy throughout the event.
