Outdoor enthusiasts, you’re in for a trip of a lifetime! Plover offers endless adventures on land and on the water.

On Land

On land, start by hitting the world-class trails—perfect for biking and hiking, plus skiing and snowshoeing during the snowy months. Make your first stop Standing Rocks County Park, a 524-acre park full of amazing hiking, biking, skiing, and snowshoeing trails you simply have to explore. Up for a little competition? Bring your crew and play a round at the park’s pristine 36-hole disc golf course!

Up next: Tomorrow River State Trail! This 29-mile rail trail is a must, especially if you’re looking to hike or bike. If you’re in need of two wheels, be sure to visit the Hostel Shoppe—they’ll get you fitted to ride! Time to hit the trail, which travels through a mix of scenic glacial terrain and vast farmlands. From beginner to expert, this trail is perfect for any and every skill level, with some amazing stops along the way—including O’So Brewing Company!

Trade two wheels for a paddle! To enjoy one of the fastest-growing sports, pickleball, check out the brand-new Sentry Pickleball Complex at Lake Pacawa Park! Here, you can play on 12 fully accessible courts. From the pickleball courts to the dirt track, switch gears and head to Golden Sands Speedway. This fan-favorite dirt track offers not only racing excitement but also family-friendly fun.

On the Water

The adventures don’t stop on shore either. On the water, more big-time experiences await! If you’re feeling lucky, try your hand at fly fishing! But before you go, be sure to head to Fall Line Outfitters to gear up. Then, we recommend casting a line in the infamous Tomorrow River, known for producing some trophy trout! It reaches 22 miles in length and eventually turns into the Waupaca River.

Prefer to paddle? The Tomorrow River is a great escape, along with Galecke County Park—a 34-acre park with stunning Wisconsin River frontage. Speaking of the Wisconsin River, have you heard of a hidden gem known as The Sandbar? Let us introduce you to a one-of-a-kind riverboat bar and restaurant you simply have to check out. It’s located on a sandbar known as Gilligan’s Island, so you can paddle right to it!
