Order Decatur Dairy’s signature grilled cheese sandwich in Brodhead.

Opening its doors for the first time in 1942, this Swiss-inspired cheese creamery and store is perhaps best known for serving up their signature grilled cheese sandwich utilizing some of their award-winning specialty cheeses. (And some say it’s the best grilled cheese in the whole county…) What started as a fluke idea has expanded into several varieties of grilled cheese and even soup and mac and cheese. Decatur Dairy takes things to the next level with their original creations, including memorable combinations like Colby-Swiss and chedster. If you’re planning a trip or passing through the Napa Valley of Cheese (Green County, that is) then consider Decatur Dairy an absolute must-stop!

Indulge in cheese fondue at Glarner Stube in New Glarus.

Round up the whole family and head on in to one of New Glarus’ most historic restaurants.
